Congratulations, Mrs. Purtle, for receiving the James H. Atkinson Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Arkansas History! The award recognizes one outstanding elementary or secondary teacher in the state who teaches Arkansas history. Mrs. Purtle was honored for demonstrating the very best qualities of an educator: deep content knowledge, unwavering dedication to students and genuine passion. She was described as engaging, dynamic and deeply compassionate teacher who impacts students both in and out of the classroom. Mrs. Morgan Willenberg will be joining the Daredevil Community as elementary teacher in FY '27! Her introduction: Hi everyone! I’m so excited to introduce myself as the new 5th and 6th grade math teacher! I’m passionate about helping students grow their confidence and skills in math while making learning fun and engaging.
I am a proud wife and also a new mom, which has been the most rewarding and joyful chapter of my life. My little family means everything to me, and they keep life full of love, laughter, and sweet (and sometimes chaotic!) moments.
Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my family—whether we’re camping, relaxing at the lake, or jeep riding through the mountains. Those are my favorite ways to unwind and make memories. My fur babies are also a big part of my life and hold a very special place in my heart! I’m so excited to be here and can’t wait to meet all of my students and their families!
